I am an architect with a lifelong interest in the environment. Nearly 20 years ago I realized just how much damage thoughtless design has done to the planet and our society. The architect was transformed into an activist. As a result, I teach and volunteer regularly to advance local understanding of design and how our communal choices effect us personally and globally.
I founded Solstice Architecture in 2007 to explore and make visible the relationships between ecology, community and design. I have experience in historical restoration, new construction, programming and master planning. I was responsible for the design of some of the first green projects in central Indiana. There has been a steady groundswell from our first "green" home here in 2003. The momentum and potential continues to grow. And this, my friends, is good news indeed.

If you visit me here and you're curious about such things, I suggest a piece I just read in "Green Sage" on sustainability leadership. The address is: http://www.greensage.com/ezine/08zines/03Mar08/ezine03-08SustLeader.html
It's very good news indeed. It means I may not have to leave Indiana. It can be frustrating to say the least. Hoosier's are so conservative in politics, but not so much with their resources, consumerism, and the environment. Thanks for doing your part to change that.
