Building a Sustainable Indianapolis Metro Region

Indianapolis, Ind. -- Moving between the Fishers area and downtown Indianapolis is no longer a headache for local residents who are now turning to IndyGo’s Commuter Express.

Entering its fourth month of service, the Fishers Express is exceeding expectations, providing more than 26,000 passenger trips.

“There’s no question about it. When you leave your car at home and ride the bus, your commute becomes easier, more convenient and less expensive,” said Gilbert Holmes, IndyGo President and CEO, also noting the environmental benefits. “Last week alone, our trips were over 2,000, our highest week yet. People are taking notice and trying public transportation.”

Alongside upcoming service updates to IndyGo’s local routes, the Fishers Express recently switched to a new schedule.

“The ever-increasing ridership numbers indicate that Fishers residents love having the ability to hop on a comfortable bus and enjoy a stress-free ride to and from work,” said Fishers Town Manager Gary Huff. “We couldn’t be happier that IndyGo has responded swiftly to the escalating numbers by providing passengers with more choices of times to ride.”

Before you hop on board, here are a few details about the Fishers Express:
